As a similar approach close to my project World Textiles & Artisans, I am happy to share with you the initiative Maison d’Exceptions.

Maison d’Exception is first an exclusive space part of the international textile for clothing trade show Première Vision. For two consecutive years already, we have been able to discover a selection of textile crafts houses from Europe and abroad (France, Belgium, Italy, Japan …). I had the chance to go there at the last show and I have found craftsmen who sure would have their place in some of my upcoming interviews and portraits! In a real desire to remain innovative and open to design, each of these workshops is promoting a unique textile expertise in textile finishing, traditional wisteria weaving, silk jacquard, ultra thin organza weaving, cashmere…

To keep exploring this craft issue on a fashion, cultural or heritage angle or from the workshop’s point of view, Maison d’Exceptions also exists online! This magazine offers weekly exclusive articles to discover textile and fashion, design and crafts in France and around the world. A qualitative content and valorization process that for sure will interest you.
